The way we choose to see the world creates the world we see.
— Barry Neil Kaufman

It may or may not be Monday when you read this, either way we have an opportunity to set the tone for the days ahead.

Looking back at my timeline, I realized that the Sunday night blues morphed easily into the Monday morning crabbiness.  Everything seemed to be super rushed, the kids misbehaved, my first patients were always miserable.  I wonder what would have happened if I changed my attitude on Sunday night?  Been thankful for the opportunity to go to a job (whether or not I liked it) when so many people went without pay during the government shut down. It's so sad to me that this still happens.

I wish I had known better then.  I wish I had approached Mondays with a positive outlook, but I am always learning.  It's a different world when you wake up every day "going to" a job you love.  The Sunday blues quickly disappear and instead your met with Monday morning excitement to start work.  This is the ultimate goal friends, don’t suffer through life. Find your passion and let it light up your world and the others around you. In the meantime though, allow yourself to get through the days buy showing gratitude for the things that you do have.

Whether you are showing up to something you hate or something you love this morning, know that this is just one of many mile markers on your journey.  It will shape you and your week, your month, your year.  Choosing to see the opportunity in the day allows for you to write this experience into your story and look back on it to see how far you've come.

Wishing you the best week ever,
