We're not gonna make it...

Oh man, this photo is taking us back to 2011 or 2012....I can’t remember! It was when we first started dating. What I do remember though is that Adam was still smoking, was still ordering extra cream, extra sugar iced coffees, and his cabinets contained ramen noodles and ketchup.

I’m not sure if I had given him the ultimatum yet “If you don’t quit, we can’t date”. Obviously, he quit

Shortly after this, we started CrossFit together - I had been wanting to try it and I’m pretty sure Adam wanted to win brownie points so he came with me.

We nearly died and couldn’t walk for days after our first class. We did keep showing up though!

It was here that we both learned about the Paleo lifestyle. Adam quit smoking and learned about black coffee , he dropped a lot of weight, and we both got really healthy just eating well and working out consistently. Adam’s psoriasis was basically gone! The puffiness in our faces went away, and I felt better than I had in a long time.

This was a great start, but our journey was not complete. I started reading and educating myself about our food and found that although paleo was great, our foods just don’t contain the same nutrients as they used to. And, although my skin had improved a little, it was far from looking great. I started to realize that the Oil of Olay face cream I had been using for yearrrrrs, contained ingredients that were more harmful than good, and the dryer sheets were full of carcinogens.

Then I discovered Young Living. Slowly but surely we swapped out toxin-laden deodorant, skin cream, laundry soap, toothpaste, supplements, you name it, for healthier options, & started exploring the use of plant medicine.

It’s been a long journey and it’s not over! We are always working to improve our health and we are far from perfect with food slip-ups and habits that easily sneak back in, but the difference now is that we know where to go for the right information and how to improve our lives. We are more educated and incredibly happy to be able to share what we’ve learned along the way with others looking to improve their lives too.
